The Hawaii-Alaska Chapter of HIMSS hosted a Health IT Day at the State Capitol Building on December 17, 2019. The event included a ceremony for Hawaii Pacific Health (HPH) for becoming the first three-time HIMSS Enterprise Davies Award Winner. Lt. Governor Josh Green presented the Declaration for Hawai'i Health Information Technology Week. Guests enjoyed talk story with Lt. Governor Green, Steve Robertson, CIO of HPH, and Terence Young, Director of Clinic Business Operations of HPH. Over lunch they shared personal experiences and discussed how information and technology can help the homeless and shed more light on the challenges of collecting and using medical data to improve outcomes and operations.
